This and That

A few random updates going on in our lives:

First of all, I posted a month ago about starting a new job, and I love it.  It has been such a blessing.  I am enjoying getting out of the house and I really think daycare has helped Kylie.  She has learned patience (not to over exaggerate that - she is a 2 year old) and how to share better.  I never thought I would be this pleased with going back to work.  I thank the Lord for this blessing he has given me.

Christmas:  Kylie received too many toys to count at Christmas but among them was a Hello Kitty microphone that Kyle and I got her.  To say she loves it would be an understatement.  We have listened to her sing ABC's for a week now.  I am starting to hope the batteries run out soon.

We had a White Christmas!!!!!!  We took Kylie out to play but all she wanted to do was make a snow ball and lick it, yes, lick it.  It is freezing cold outside and my child only cares about eating the freezing cold snow.  Go figure???

We had an incident with my brother yesterday.....it was almost major, but thankfully he is OK.  D.J. got his hand caught in a chainsaw.  We didn't know how bad it was at first but thankfully it didn't get any bone or nerves.  I am so thankful that it wasn't any worse.  He was very fortunate that he came out of it with minor injury.  You don't usually hear the words chainsaw accident and minor injury in the same sentence, but the Lord was watching over him!

Other than that we are just up to our everyday life.  We are going to my Mom and Dad's for a church New Years Eve party tomorrow and just plan on enjoying a long weekend.  Happy New Year!

So Thankful

I heard something on Rick and Bubba this morning that I am going to try to make a point and do this Thanksgiving.  I don't remember the reference but someone told Rick that they challenged people to stop for 10 minutes on Thanksgiving day and pray, thanking God for everything, not asking for anything but just showing gratitude for what Jesus Christ has done for us.  He said that the sad thing was that almost 100% of people he challenged thought it was a great idea but only 5% would actually follow through.  So, I want to make it a point to be thankful to my creator for dying on a cross for my sins and being raised from the dead three days later.  This alone is something that I can't thank Him enough for, much less all of the blessings he has given me in my life.

I am thankful for a wonderful, Godly husband that puts Christ first and is the spiritual leader of our house.  I  can not begin to express what having a Christ centered marriage means to me.  We are by no means perfect but we do have a marriage that is founded on Christ.

I am thankful for Kylie.  Words can not even describe what she means to me.  Sometimes I just sit and think about what a miracle it was that God placed her in my womb and gave her to us to raise her in the admonition of the Lord.  We are so blessed.  It makes me think of Christ love for us.  I am His daughter just like Kylie is mine, except He loves me more than I could ever imagine loving Kylie.  WOW!!!!

I am thankful for wonderful family and friends.  I have a wonderful mom and dad that helped show me Christ and loved/love me unconditionally.  I have a sister who is my best friend and a brother that means the world to me (Kerry's not so bad either, she is a great sister-in-law)! :)  I am so thankful for my in-laws.  They mean so much to us and I am so glad that we have a great relationship.  Kyle's mom and dad and Katie would do anything in the world for us.

The list goes on and on, but I just wanted to take a minute to tell just a FEW things I am thankful for.  I hope everyone has a blessed thanksgiving!

Work and Day Care

Last Thursday I started a new job.  It is the first 8-5 that I have had since i got pregnant with Kylie so I was a little nervous about it.  It is going well and it doesn't hurt to have an extra paycheck coming in. :)  My biggest worry with going back to work was sending Kylie to daycare.  I dreaded it and I thought that it was going to be horrible.  I built myself up to thinking that she was going to hate it and going to hate me for leaving her.

So, the first morning I took her to daycare early so I would have plenty of time to try to ease out of there.  I was so prepared.  I left in plenty of time, I prayed HARD and brought all of my makeup with me in the car because I just knew that I was going to cry because she was going to cry.

Well, add this to the list of all the things that I get wrong as a mother.  I took her in, she sat right down at a table and started eating her breakfast and I slipped out without even a whimper (from either of us).  I knew it would be easier to not tell her by so I left while she was distracted with her pop tart.  I considered this a success but i still thought that she would cry when she noticed I wasn't there.  So, I called them when I got to work to see how she was doing.  She had not even asked for me!  Now I know that this was a huge blessing but I was almost a little hurt, in a good way.  As a mom, you want your kids to miss you, but not in a way that makes you and them miserable.

Apparently, I didn't learn my lesson on Friday so I once again prepared and left early for daycare this morning thinking that she would catch on and would not want me to leave her.....wrong, wrong, wrong again.  She went straight into the room and started playing with a little girl that she informed me was named Gracie.  I can't tell you how relieved I am that she is adjusting to daycare.  Thank you Lord for letting her enjoy it!

P.S.  Sorry for the lack of pictures............it's been a crazy few days.

Sneaky!

In the past two weeks we have begun to have a problem at Kylie's nap time.  She wants to play instead of sleep.  Now, I am not saying that she has always loved her nap or laid down with no problems but she has generally been really good with her nap time.  She lays down without too much of a fight and usually sleeps for at least 2 hours.

I thought that I would have a problem with nap time when we switched to a toddler bed (which we did a couple of months ago) but she never got out of bed.  She knew that she was able to, because she climbed in bed by herself, but she just never got up...........until last week.  Last week I put her in bed for her nap and about 45 minutes later I thought I heard something.  It was her, she had not been asleep at all.  She had lined up chairs next to her bed, had dolls, coloring books, and play food all in her bed, and she was naked, yes naked, from the waist down!  I have no idea what she was doing, but she was so sneaky about it.  Our house is not that big and her bedroom is just off of the living room so I can't believe I didn't hear her.

She has got out of bed several times since then.  I find her asleep in the floor beside the bed or in the closet with the door shut when I go to get her up from her nap.  Luckily she still doesn't get up at night, I think she doesn't because it is dark and we don't put a night light in her room.  I try to get on to her for getting up but it is so funny to me that it is hard to be stern with her about it.

The amazing thing is how sneaky she is about it.  Hopefully, the sneaky trend doesn't continue into later years or it won't be so funny. :)

Happy Late Birthday, Papa!

Just for the record, we didn't forget Papa's birthday.

Monday was my dad's (Papa's) birthday.  We actually tried to go out to eat with them but Kyle had to leave with Kylie, so they didn't get to do any celebrating.  Kylie has had hand, foot and mouth disease.  I know it sounds pretty funky but basically it was a lot of blisters insider her mouth that made it very painful for her to eat.  She is finally over it, but it has been a long week.

Kylie has an obsession with watching movies right now.  If I would let her, that is all she would do.  As soon as Kyle walks in the door she wants to watch a movie with him (after she hides, but that's a different story).  When I came in from eating with Papa for his birthday, this is what I found.  So, I snapped some pictures while they were watching Beauty and the Beast.  I thought it was too cute!

Fall Fun!

Our Halloween in Pictures:

Saturday Morning we got up and carved a pumpkin with Kylie.  She thought the inside of the pumpkin was a spider web, so she was a little reluctant to reach inside.

We went trick-or-treating Saturday night (yes...during the Auburn game) but we had fun with our little "tinker bell."

And of course, it wouldn't be Halloween on Sand Mountain unless your yard gets rolled or your rolling someone's yard!   We were on the receiving end...  My sister brought my niece Kaitlyn and her friend Maggie to roll the yard.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween!

WELCOME HOME!

Today Kylie and I went to Birmingham.  My Uncle Everett has been in Afghanistan since last November and he got to come home today.  Mom and I made Auburn and Alabama posters for the welcome home.

Brittany and Tyler waiting on their Dad!

I can not imagine having to be gone like that or being the wife of someone who has to stay overseas for a year.  I am always appreciative of what military men and women do for us but it really hits home when it is family.  They sacrifice SO MUCH for our freedom.  THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dad, Mom, Everett, Kylie and Me

I teared up (surprise, surprise) when they arrived and I was so happy for him to get to be home.  There was a little girl standing next to us with her grandparents and she had a sign that said "Welcome Home Mommy."  I can not even begin to imagine what it would be like to leave Kylie for a year.  Again, it makes you really appreciate what they do for you when you see the sacrifice that not only they make, but their families make as well.

We went and ate at Lone Star for lunch with the family.  Kylie finally warmed up to Everett right before we left.  She let him hold her and she gave him a kiss goodbye.  After we left, she wanted to know if we were going to their house.  She wanted me to "please help her go to Brittany's house."

WELCOME HOME EVERETT!

WAAAAARRRRR EAGLE, HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kyle and I LOVE Auburn football.  When we were living in Auburn we went to practically every game.  We have not been to a game in two years and we got tickets last weekend so we decided to go.  We headed down to Auburn (minus Kylie, we thought the game would be way too crowded to have to appease her) for the Auburn vs. LSU game.  It was a GREAT game.  I was so excited with the win.  I screamed so loud on Saturday that I barely had a voice at church on Sunday, but it was worth it.  Now we are ranked #1....WOW!  The ranking kind of makes me nervous because we have a lot of tough games left, but hopefully the winning can continue.  Either way I am going to enjoy it while I can.....WE'RE #1.   WAAAAARRRRRR EAGLE, HEY!!!!!!!

While we went to Auburn, Kylie stayed with Grandmother, Grandaddy and Aunt Katie.  They played hard and watched movies all day.  She watched Snow white and had to dress up too.  Aunt Katie sent us the picture while we were at the game.  I am so thankful that we are close to family that can keep Kylie when we do things like this.  She loves to go over there and I know they love having her.  The only problem is that she comes home SPOILED! :) Oh well, that's what grandparents are for, right?

John 3:16

Every morning that Kylie is awake before Kyle goes to work he reads her a bible verse.  He has a couple of different ones, mostly from the "Romans Road," that he reads.  John 3:16 is one of them.  About a month ago I started saying John 3:16 and letting Kylie repeat me as a said it throughout the day.  It was AMAZING how fast she picked it up and said it on her own.  She could say, practically, the entire verse by herself after less than a weeks time.  It made it that much more prevalent that I need to watch what I say and do around her.  She is so aware of what's going on, and soaks things up like a sponge.  I told Kyle that I am going to start teaching her more verses because all of the verses that I memorized at a young age are the ones that have really stuck with me.  On a side note, we are still not great with colors or numbers so we have got to work on that as well.  But, I would much rather know that she knows John 3:16 at 2 years old than how to count to 10 (but she is getting that as well).  Here is a video of her saying her bible verse. (Sorry it is so blurry, the video is on my phone....you may need to turn the volume up.)

Sickly Sickerson!!!!

If you're wondering why there hasn't been a post in a week its because I didn't have anything to write about.  Kylie and Kyle have been sick!  Kyle has had the crud and Kylie has had an ear infection, so we had a pretty uneventful week and weekend.

Mom, Kylie and I did get out yesterday.  We went to Huntsville for kids market and got Kylie a lot of fall/winter clothes.  For those of you who don't know, kids market is held twice a year and it is basically a gigantic yard sale for kids clothes, furniture, bedding, toys, etc.  There were tons of people there and so many things to look through.  We ended up being there for about 2 1/2 hours!!!!  Luckily, Kylie was pretty good and I was able to plunder and get some great stuff.  I brought her stroller and her portable DVD player along with some snacks and that kept her occupied a lot of the time.

Hopefully we will actually get ready and go somewhere this week that we look worthy of a picture, I always enjoy the pictures on my friends blogs and I need to get better about taking them but at times like last week (when Kylie is sick) it is rare that we get out of our pj's.  Ha ha!  Oh well, hopefully there will be cute pictures to come this week.

Fun Times

We had a busy, but fun, weekend.  Friday night we went and watched our old high school football game.  Kaitlyn came with us and spent the night at our house.  Kylie loved playing with Kaitlyn.  She thinks that she is big stuff when Kaitlyn is there.

We spent Saturday, of course, watching football.  I am not one to watch many NFL games but it is just not a complete weekend in the fall without some SEC football.  Auburn gives me a heart attack nearly every game but it has made for some exciting games to watch.  I told Kyle I would enjoy a few more Saturdays where I can relax and have a "boring" game where we get ahead and stay ahead the whole game.

Sunday we did something that I haven't done since I was probably in high school.  I stayed up ALL night.  We had a youth lock in at the church and Kyle and I helped with it.  I had been dreading it thinking that I was going to be exhausted but it was actually lots of fun!  We went bowling and then brought the youth back to the church and played all kinds of games and ate a lot of junk food.  I am pretty sure I drank enough caffeine Sunday night to fill a swimming pool! Ha ha!

Because of the lock in we spent Monday morning SLEEPING! Praise the Lord!  We got home around 6:30 and went straight to bed.  We slept for a few hours and then went and got Kylie from Grandmother and Grandaddy's house.  When we went to pick her up she was watching Disney movies.  She said she watched "Tinkerella" aka Cinderella and she loved it.  They said she barely moved during the entire movie.  I guess its time for me to go to mom and dad's and get out all of the old VHS Disney movies...I will welcome them with open arms if it means we can stop watching Barney and Bee Movie all the time!

On a different note, mom sent me a picture of the inspiration shirt that I talked about a few posts ago.  Here is where I got the idea for Kylie's shirt.  Basically I just hot glued ribbon and added a bow at the top of Kylie's shirt.  Mom's is done the same way but she added fabric paint on top of the ribbon so that it doesn't come apart in the wash...I have to do that to Kylie's before I wash it or it will have been a "one wear wonder."

I wanna play a "Game"

Over the past few weeks Kylie asks to play a game a million times a day.  The problem is that she doesn't know what that means.  She thinks that asking to play a game is like asking to go swing, she thinks that it is something specific.  We have tried to tell her that there are all kinds of games to play that there is no such thing as just a game but you can imagine trying to explain that to a 2 year old that is convinced she is right.  I told Kyle that we are just going to have to pick a game like simon says or something like that and call it Game.

Her favorite game right now is to play hide and seek.  Ya'll, I have never in my life known a kid who loves to hide as much as she does.  Everyday, and I mean EVERY, she has to hide from her dad when he gets home from work.  The other night I was trying to take her picture and all she wanted to do is hide behind her dad.

I'm sure Kyle is going to love that I put these pictures up! Haha!

Kylie wanted Daddy to hide.

Crafty or Copied...either way it's Cute!

This football season we have been to several of our high school football games.  Kylie didn't have anything in our school colors (green and gold) to wear so I decided to get a little crafty.  I am not sure where this originally came from but I copied the idea from a shirt my mom made in about.....1980 or somewhere around there.  I wish I had a picture of my mom's shirt to show you, she still has it!  Anyway I thought it turned out pretty cute!  Here is the finished product (Kylie wanted to pose and apparently that means cocking your hip to one side, she is such a ham!):

Failure is Not an Option

Well, I'm back again....I have determined that failure is not an option and I want to document the everyday happenings around our house so that I can look back and remember all of the fun times we have and the things that are important to me.  Over the past few months so many things have happened that I think to myself "I wish I would have written that down," and I don't want to regret not remembering anything else.

As I think about how many times I have drifted and come back to my blog it makes me think about how often I drift away from God and have to come back asking for forgiveness.  I am so glad that failure is not an option to God!

Easter

We started Easter with a visit from the easter bunny.  We were excited this year because this was the first time since Kyle and I have been married that we were able to wake up at home on Easter or pretty much any holiday (this year was our first Christmas at home too).  So we were glad to be at home and get to see Kylie find her basket from the easter bunny.  Yesterday we had a great church service.  We ate lunch with my mom and dad and then headed to Kyle's family get together for some more egg hunting.  Here are some pictures from the day:

Kylie was checking it all out.

She went for the marshmallows first thing.

Kylie and her cousin Kaitlyn, aren't they beautiful!

This is Kylie with her best friend Halle.  Cuteness!!!

These three are all less than two months apart.

We finished off the day with a bath and her new pj's that the Easter Bunny brought her.

Easter at the River

We had a great easter weekend! How awsome is it to know that we serve a RISEN SAVIOR!  We started the weekend at mom and dad's river house.  We stayed outside all afternoon.  Kylie and Kate hunted eggs, we went out on the dock, and just hung out around the house.

Kyle and Kylie were "fishing" with long pieces of grass/a plant.

Playing in the yard at the river!  I can't wait for summer time so the water is warm enough to play in!

Getting instructions from Nana and Papa for the egg hunt.

She found one!

Kylie liked to step on the eggs so here is the result when she found a real one!

Pony Tails

OK, so I have to admit, I always ridiculed the pebbles look, as I call it, on little girls.  I claimed I would never let my little girl wear her hair that way.  Well, this is one time, in a long list of times, that I am eating my words.  Yesterday, Eryn was at our house and I was fixing her hair.  While I fixed her hair she made Kylie a pony tail and I have to admit that I adored it!  I thought it was so funny.  Kylie loved it and this morning when I was getting her ready she wanted a "pony."  She likes to shake her head and feel it move around.  We still probably won't have this look often but I did think it was a cute change and it made me look forward to when she has hair long enough to fix.

Me-ma's House (aka Grandma)

Last week Kylie and I went to Dothan with Nana to see my grandmother(my mom's mom) and my grandfather (my dad's dad), Kylie's great grandmother and grandfather.  She did GREAT on the ride to Dothan.  It is a 5 hour drive and we didn't even have to get her out of the car seat once!  She desperatly needed a diaper change when we got there but other than that it was great.  She is a great car rider.  It probably has something to do with the fact that she has had to deal with it since she was born.  We made two trips to Dothan before she was two months old.

While we were in Dothan we stayed busy.  We ran a lot of errands and shopped with my grandmother.  We went to a kid's store ,"That Store," to get Kylie some clothes.  I got her a cute Easter dress and some other summer clothes but I couldn't get everything I wanted because she is so hard to fit!  She is so tiny that everythign falls off of her.  I guess I am going to have to practice up on my sewing if I want to have cute outfits for her this summer.

Kylie tried to say Grandma but it came out as Me-ma.  But now she asked every day or two where Me-ma is.  So cute!  Here is a picture of her with her Nana and Me-ma.  Three generations!  I am kicking myself for not getting a picture of the four of us together to get all the generations in there.  Oh well, we will see her again soon and maybe I'll remember to get a pic.

You don't know what you've got til it's gone!

I went to the eye doctor last monday for the first time in about six years.  I had not been to an eye doctor since I had eye surgery to correct my vision in 2004, so the visit was long over due.  Lately, I have noticed that my vision has been a little blurry and I thought I may need glasses again.  My suspision was right and now I have my first pair of glasses in six years.  I was really dissapointed that my vision changed after having lasik surgery.  Don't get me wrong, I don't regret the surgery, and as soon as we can save up the money I will have it again in a heart beat, but I really didn't know how good I had it until I had to go back to glasses.  I was almost legally blind before I had the surgery so after the surgery it was so great not to have to rely on glasses or contacts because before I couldn't do ANYTHING without them!  I couldn't even see the big E on the eye chart, not even close.  My vision is no where near that bad now so at least I have that going for me but I had hoped after surgery that it would be many years before I needed glasses.  Oh well, such is life.

Here are my new glasses!

Over 20 lbs...FINALLY!

Yesterday was Kylie's 18 month birthday and we had to go to her pediatrician for a check-up.  She has also had a cold for a couple of weeks so we got some medicine for that while we were there. we had to go for a checkup for her weight.  Her doctor has been concerned because she is so small.  Everytime we go he always mentions her weight and tells me to try to get her to eat and drink more.  Anyone that knows Kylie knows that normally she is a great eater.  She eats more that most of the kids we know.  I haven't really worried about the weight because she does eat great and I know that she is probably just going to be skinny like her dad!    Anyway...we have been trying to hit the 20lb mark for quite a while now and we finall did it yesterday.  She weight 20.5 lb and was 30.8 inches tall!

She missed her 15 month shots because she had the flu so she also got shots yesterday.  I felt bad for her so we stopped and got her a cupcake at Gigi's cupcakes in huntsville.  Here she is in the car on the way home, I gave her some icing on a fork.  (Not a good idea....had to wash the car seat!)

Happy Birthday Nana and Grandaddy!

Yesterday was Nana's (my mom) birthday.  We celebrated last week because she and my dad were going to be out of town.  We ate at the Doc's in Scottsboro.  YUM!  Then we went to "the Nest," my mom and dad's new place at the river.  We had a great time.

Today is Grandaddy's birthday (Kyle's dad).  We are going to eat Mexican with them tonight.  We also had a great day with them yesterday.  One of the benefits of Kyle's job since we moved is that he is off on all holidays so he didin't have to work yesterday.  Kyle's mom and dad came over and cooked us some DELICIOUS steaks for a valentines day present.

On a side note, as I type this post I realize how much of my weekend and first part of this week has revolved around food!  I have totally fell off of the Weight Watchers band wagon....gotta jump back on soon or I won't fit into my bridesmaid dress for my brother's wedding!  I am determined not to look back at pictures and not want them to be seen because I look fat! :)  26 pounds down - another 20 to go.

Busy, but I didn't know it!

At the beginning of the week we had planned to have a low key kind of week.  Just stay around the house and maybe a trip to the grocery store but that was about all we had planned.  Little did I know that we would be super busy this week.

I was able to be at home Monday during the day and tackle a mountainous pile of laundry that had been daunting me for a week or so but that is about all I have accomplished for the week.  Monday night we went to watch our old highschool basketball team in the area tournament finals, they lost, but it was a good game and they still get to move on to the next round.  Tuesday was a busy day full of errands to walmart, the grocery store (there are some things, like meat products, that I don't buy at walmart).

Today we have been out running errands and now I am at home fixing food for a funeral and I have to be at the church by 1 to help get everything ready for the meal for the family and then our church cooks meals on Wed. night for people and I will have to stay up there to help with that then have our regular Wed. night bible study.  So we won't be home until about 8:30.

Tomorrow we don't have anything planned and maybe it will stay that way.

Friday night we are going to a dinner/fundraiser for the Child Advocacy Center, Saturday night we have a birthday party that Kylie was invited to.  Sunday we have church and ANOTHER birthday party, and somewhere in there I will try to tell Kyle that I love him since it will be Valentines Day! :)

Whew....

Next week doesn't get any slower considering my mom's birthday is Monday and my Father in laws birthday is Tuesday.

By the way I have some super cute pictures of Kylie and her friend Halle at the basketball games that I will post as soon as I find my cord that connects my camera to my computer! :)

Friends for life

While this topic may sound sentimental I am referring to how close you need to be to someone before you play the games that we played on Saturday night with some of our very good friends the Eckleys and the Mobleys.  We first humiliated ourselved with a dancing game on the wii called just dance.  It is basically a dance competition between all of the players and you are scored.  I wish I had video to show you Kyle and Brandon dancing...lets just say that rythm is not there thing.  After they played they watched Jessica, Emily and I dance to MC Hammer and Brandon says "wow, you are all together" I then had to inform him it was called "rythm" and that it's probably not a good idea to dance without it. :)

Then we played the MOST RANDOM GAME EVER called Quelf.  It is impossible to explain this game but we had to do random things like wear a mask through an entire round, sit under the table, stay in the bathroom until someone finally comes to check on you.  Me, I didn't have to do any of these things, but I kept getting rule cards.  Every time someone said my name I had to make a W on my forehead and say whatever, I had to make the sound of a pickle "squish, squish" every time I moved my gamepiece, and I had to yell at every game piece like a drill sargeant whenever anyone moved their piece.  I recommend this game under two circumstances...1. play when you don't have your kids with you (we spent a lot of time chasing kids around) and 2.  only play with people that you are comfortable being embarrassed in front of.

We had a great night and I am so glad that our friends got to come visit us in the booming metropolis of Rainsville!  We can't wait to do it again!

Ice Cream!

On Sunday we went and ate at a Mexican place after church with my mom and dad.  They give kids free ice cream after the meal.  Kaitlyn always gets an ice cream, on Sunday Kylie wanted one too so we decided to let her have one.  They fixed her a little cone with sprinkles and the tiniest bit of chocolate syrup.  She LOVED it!  Suprisingly, she actually stayed fairly clean considering it was her first ice cream cone that I let her hold all by herself.

Speaking of church, on Sunday night we had a very convicting sermon for me.  It was talking about being the salt of the world.  I got to thinking about it, and the characteristic of salt is that it spreads easily and gives things flavor.  I want to be better salt...If we are truly children of God then we should have a desire to be just like salt and spread His word everywhere.  I think we as Christians all need to remember to be SALT!

This is a picture of Kylie eating her ice cream.
All I had to take a picture with was my cell phone
so it's not very clear but it is super cute!

Go Rams Go!!!

We had a full but great weekend. On Friday night we went and ate at a BBQ place that has the best ribs and after that we went to some of our friends house. Candace has been my best friend since we were in kindergarten and I have known her husband for years. They have a little girl that is 3 weeks younder than Kylie. It is so amazing how the Lord works because we had no idea that two girls who have been basically inseperable their whole lives would have two little girls only three weeks apart! It makes me wonder what they will be like when they get older, will they want to spend every minute with each other the way that we did? I think about all of the fun and silly times we had together as kids and I can't wait for our girls to get to experience that.

Saturday night we went to watch our high school basketball teams. For my friends in Huntsville just go ahead and take a big laugh because yes...this is a big night out here in the "sticks." Anyway, our B-team boys and Varsity boys had both made it to the finals in the county tournament so we decided to go watch. It was lots of fun to watch especially since BOTH teams won. GO RAMS! While we were there the school secretary came and brought me and Kyle some old pictures that a photographer had, from several years ago, of me in my cheerleading uniform and Kyle his freshman year in his football jersey. It is funny (and kind of sad) to see what 10 years will do to you. I had to put the pictures away because they were making me depressed, all I could think about was how thin I used to be! Anyway, we had a great time and Kylie did too. We had to go beside the bleachers and let her play a little bit, but considering we were there from 5 til 10 that night I would say she did great! Here are our blast from the past pictures and Kylie in her Rams cheerleading uniform (thanks Eryn for letting us use Kate's hand-me-downs).
